Pacific Coastal Grey Wolves

The Coastal Grey Wolves.

Vancouver Island, BC Canada.

There is a pack of Pacific Coastal Grey Wolves on discovery, with the lead wolf checking something out. A Barred Owl looks down from the Maple tree. Other wolves are coming quickly. Ducks are in the water and some flee, a few stay put and one swims closer for a better look!

The ducks are Northern Shovelers; super common and often mistaken for Mallard Ducks. The Northern Shoveler Duck has a much more shovel like bill; hence its name. The stars are proper for a southern direction of view, and the constellation is Aries for 17:29 pm on September 23, 2014. The remaining sunlight enters from the appropriate Western approach.

(Not a pro picture; it was taken with my cell phone! Quicksilver printing in Bellingham will do a much better photo job~)

It was set aside unfinished a few years ago, while caring for a sweetie through months of a prolonged illness. The protective coating was removed to finish the wolves, add the ducks and refine the water a bit. Thank you for looking, and I hope you enjoy.

While posting this, someone from Germany was looking at the very same moment. Welcome! Thank you for looking. People from around the world stop by this site.
