Quickly produced small acrylic paintings...

Turtles! Green Sea Turtles heading out to the Pacific Ocean.

These Green Sea Turtles are too much fun to paint. Coming up will be Autumn and so this will likely be the last week for painting these this year. I plan to work on one or two more tomorrow. Then will start some brightly colored fresh-water paintings with autumn leaves and such.
One never tires of painting Green Turtles! Hope you enjoy, thanks for looking.

"Canadian Geese in Golden Sunset" was easy to paint. It probably took two hours total. First a wash then the shore and trees, and finally the geese. The colors are warm and fun. The picture of this painting was taken inside a sailboat, laying the painting on top of the sink and with a single incandescent bulb for lighting, it may just be a feel good quick painting, destined to brighten a den or other room in a home. Hopefully you will enjoy looking at it though, and thanks for looking.

More of the smaller paintings.

Here is still another small acrylic painting.
These seascapes go as fast as they are painted, so the formula is much the same for each, lots of sealife, and especially seals and gulls. A touch of Crimson in the clouds helps to draw the eyes to this one. Unfinished in this pic, though you get the idea...

What to do when painting isn't finished and someone wants it?!...

Here is another, shown unfinished because it became the property of a father and son-in-law who were walking along the waterfront; I'm not opposed to parting with unfinished art even if there was still much to do. The golden sunset colors were one of my favorite applications, and it would have been great to spend more time on it; a young man walking past with his family took it home before it was truly finished. He enjoyed it very much. In case one of them reads this, I'd be happy to finish it.

Artist's note:  This was being painted in public and left as painted, unfinished, before animals were finished and additions such as sea turtles could be added in. It is a personal favorite for color. The setting is pretty typical of a golden Northwest sunset.
